I’ve heard that at the UN climate summit in Copenhagen this December crucial decisions will be made about the future of the planet. You can influence those decisions by making your voice heard!
A few years ago I was taken to Kabwe (Zambia), it’s one of the most polluted cities in the world. The guy who took me here didn’t tell me anything about that at all. It would have been a definite dealbreaker! No, no, no, it would be all beautiful and pleasant, he said, clean air. Lots of water too. Nothing of that!
A lot of inconveniences for me, Gary. But I can live with it. Been there, if you know what I mean. But what was worse (and I would never get used to it!) were all those children suffering from horrid things like lead poisoning.
One of these days a little girl came by. She was suffering from amnesia. Later I heard the headmaster of a school saying that the lead poisoning causes a lot of problems in the city, especially for the children. I gotta give my props to all these friendly citizens who have to deal with lead poisoning. I still feel bad that I couldn’t help anyone over there. Do you know something we could do?
It was an accident waiting to happen that I get polluted too. Why must the weakest always suffer the most? I don’t see this fella getting dragged around the world!!! Very mad at the moment!!!
Solar Botanic will introduce artificial trees that make use of renewable energy from the sun and wind, they are an efficient clean and environmentally sound means of collecting solar radiation and wind energy through nanotechnology.
As long as the real trees will be there, I’m ok with it!
I’m sure we all can agree that catching sunrays is a pretty pleasant job, but right now I’m as red as a tomato… Sure turning heads on the street! A red plant! Well, my own fault I guess. Last time I was here, it wasn’t half as hot.
Hopefully there’ll be clean water soon. The sun keeps burning, so I hope I’ll stay in the shadow most of the days. Apart from that, the people are so kind and they’re trying to help each other at the best of their ability.
Has it always been like this here? Incredible how people can operate under this circumstances. Let alone a plant that’s not really sure where it’s from. It’s probably further away from the equator then where I am now…
All this travelling around got me thinking. I wonder how much is caused by humans. And how much of it is just, well you know, nature. And another thing: the more people I know, the more I come to like them. But the more I see from the world, the more I get convinced that some extremes aren’t random (or just nature).
How’s the weather out there? And what do you think?
