All citizens in the north of our globe know that their behavior caused gigantic problems in the other half of the world, no? Those people in the so-called ‘developed’ countries consume like there is no tomorrow! It reminds me of a song of Bad Religion, it may sound somewhat cruel, though it’s just the way it is: ‘I want to conquer the world,
Expose the culprits and feed them to the children,
I’ll do away with air pollution and then all save the whales,
We’ll have peace on earth and global communion.’ (Bad Religion – I Want to Conquer the World)
Look at those problems in the Southern part of the world caused by climate change, it’s a smack in the face! I feel the pain in my roots…
Who do you blame? Do you feel responsible yourself?
Love & peace,
Gary
p.s. I’m glad to have so many awesome friends at Facebook.
Hi! So I’ve been brought to the Pacific. It’s pretty over here, but also hot! Like the humidity though. Really does me good after the smog… A few months ago I met Maria here in the neighborhood. In the video below she tells about her experience of facing the destruction of her homeland and her call to global leaders to act fast to preserve her way of life and that of millions of others.
‘The times there a changin’ (Bob Dylan) Well, it’s pretty rude: Marias’ house will disappear because of the careless approach of other humans.
Hopefully I can meet Maria in Copenhagen next month. Some doctors (or something) told me they’ll take me there to show the world what the health of the climate is today. Yay!
