Hi! So I’ve been brought to the Pacific. It’s pretty over here, but also hot! Like the humidity though. Really does me good after the smog… A few months ago I met Maria here in the neighborhood. In the video below she tells about her experience of facing the destruction of her homeland and her call to global leaders to act fast to preserve her way of life and that of millions of others.
‘The times there a changin’ (Bob Dylan) Well, it’s pretty rude: Marias’ house will disappear because of the careless approach of other humans.
Hopefully I can meet Maria in Copenhagen next month. Some doctors (or something) told me they’ll take me there to show the world what the health of the climate is today. Yay!
I’m on the road right now. I don’t really know where I am. It’s about as useful as a chocolate teapot that they are taking me away again. It’s like that song of Woodpigeon: ‘If only I recognize my life, I’ve lived a lot of places, but none are mine.‘
People use me as an instrument to measure what the quality of the climate is over there. So I see a lot of places. Do I like it? Dunnoo, sometimes I guess. New York was nice! Kabwe on the other hand…. well I’ll tell you about that some other time. Let me just say this: they do not have facemasks for trees… Anyhoo, it (me actually) is somewhat useful to test the environment, although my health is as changeable as the weather. And the weather isn’t always nice and shiny, as you might have noticed.
The first post on my blog, hurrah! I saw some nice blogs and got infected with the blog fever. I want to share my experiences and stay in touch with all those people I met during my trips. On the other hand, this is the best way to reach people now I’m diseased.
Well, I’m Gary and my big love is seeing all those pretty places in the world. My health is not as good as I want, but it’s just something I’ll have to deal with and it won’t stop me from living my dream.
Anyhoo, I will be blogging about my experiences and my sorrows, but there will sure be joyfull blogs! The climate is what is bothering me the most, so I hope I can write something about this and still be somewhat interesting.
I’m constantly looking for fresh crispy green friends! Don’t hesitate to leave a message: comment on my blog posts, get to know me on this blog, follow me on twitter or become one of my friends on Facebook. I’ll try to get pretty involved with you as well!
Love&peace,
Gary
p.s. remember me when you take the car to the groceries.
