Tomato red

I’m sure we all can agree that catching sunrays is a pretty pleasant job, but right now I’m as red as a tomato… Sure turning heads on the street! A red plant! Well, my own fault I guess. Last time I was here, it wasn’t half as hot.

Hopefully there’ll be clean water soon. The sun keeps burning, so I hope I’ll stay in the shadow most of the days. Apart from that, the people are so kind and they’re trying to help each other at the best of their ability.

Has it always been like this here? Incredible how people can operate under this circumstances. Let alone a plant that’s not really sure where it’s from. It’s probably further away from the equator then where I am now…

All this travelling around got me thinking. I wonder how much is caused by humans. And how much of it is just, well you know, nature. And another thing: the more people I know, the more I come to like them. But the more I see from the world, the more I get convinced that some extremes aren’t random (or just nature).

How’s the weather out there? And what do you think?

Hi there!

I’m on the road right now. I don’t really know where I am. It’s about as useful as a chocolate teapot that they are taking me away again. It’s like that song of Woodpigeon: ‘If only I recognize my life, I’ve lived a lot of places, but none are mine.

People use me as an instrument to measure what the quality of the climate is over there. So I see a lot of places. Do I like it? Dunnoo, sometimes I guess. New York was nice! Kabwe on the other hand…. well I’ll tell you about that some other time. Let me just say this: they do not have facemasks for trees… Anyhoo, it (me actually) is somewhat useful to test the environment, although my health is as changeable as the weather. And the weather isn’t always nice and shiny, as you might have noticed.

How are you?

Love & peace,
